Mystical Death is a progressive death metal band from the Netherlands. Formed in 2024, they have developed their signature style of progressive death metal by blending technical death metal, symphonic death metal, OSDM and various other influences. Their music remains firmly rooted in the brutal origins of death metal, while boldly exploring new territories, ensuring it honors the true meaning of the word ‘progressive’. Mystical Death offers a fresh and unique sound that should appeal to most fans within the death metal scene.
On the 14th of September 2024, they released their debut ‘Carnation’. Five intense and progressive death metal tracks that showcase a wide range of influences, yet converge into a recognizable style. Their debut has been received very well and has attracted only positive reviews. Good press led the band to be played not only on smaller local radio stations, but to receive airplay on the largest Dutch rock and metal radio station KINK FM as well. Not just once but twice, including a full-length interview. Their upcoming sophomore release has been recorded and mastered/mixed in their own studio, and is now awaiting its official release (very soon). A single from their upcoming album was released the 25th of January 2025 which also received airplay on KINK FM.
